We offer a truly "One-Stop" service because of our wide range of interests and experiences service. This includes the following:

  • Treatment of day-to-day acute illnesses like gastroenteritis, colds, injuries, backache, etc.
  • General examinations for six-monthly repeat scripts of chronic illnesses like Hypertension, Diabetes Mellitus, High Cholesterol, Atrial Fibrillation, Hypothyroidism, Asthma, etc.
  • Yearly "well-being" examinations , especially in the over 50-year group, focus on a general exam, screening for cancers and searching for the early signs of non-communicable diseases.
  • Insurance medicals, including Stress ECGs and Spirometry.
  • PDP examinations and completion of the form.
  • Examinations for VISA purposes.
  • Travel Clinic and registered Yellow fever Centre: This involves the administration of the Yellow Fever vaccine and a comprehensive pre-and post-travel consultation service with advice on expected diseases at the destination, malaria prophylaxis, bite prevention, and any additional vaccines needed or recommended.
  • Women’s health, including papsmear/-tests and clinical breast examinations when indicated.
  • Biopsy under local anaesthetic of suspicious skin lesions to elicit a diagnosis.
  • Cryotherapy or freezing of skin lesions using a CryoPro apparatus.
  • Cautherisation of skin lesions under local anaesthetic.
  • Suturing of lacerations
  • Application of casts and backslabs.
  • Administering of drips for rehydration or intravenous treatments, for example, iron or bisphosphonates.
  • Administering oxygen and nebulisation.
  • Administering of oxygen and nebulizations.
  • Chronic Care if needed for minor procedures.
  • Primary care and management of medical emergencies
  • Job shadowing is offered to Gr 11 school students interested in becoming family practitioners. It is part of their Life Orientation task during the July holiday.
  • We have a an excellent working relationship with specialists in the surrounding area when a referral becomes necessary. We also prefer to assist in the theatre when our patients need to undergo any procedure.
  • We are a collection point for chronic medication as delivered by Medipost.
  • We are contracted with all the medical aids except managed care plans and the lowest plans like Keycare. We are fully computerised, and the claim is sent directly to the medical aid after the consultation, with a response received before the patient leaves the rooms. We are part of the Premier Practice Network of Discovery Medical Aid.
  • Doing intra-articular cortisone injections in joints to relieve osteoarthritic pain and inflammation.
  • We have an ultrasound machine and can do basic abdominal scans to evaluate, for example, gallstones. We can also do basic pregnancy scanning to establish gestational age, but we are not allowed to do anatomical scans of the foetus due to medico-legal reasons.
